**  EASTER SCHEDULE **

Join us Sunday, March 31st as we gather to celebrate our Savior, King Jesus and his triumphant victory over death and the grave. We would love for you, your family, your neighbors, and your friends to join us as we worship with grateful hearts. We will gather at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. (our normal times) and there will be an Easter Egg hunt out back after each gathering for our precious little ones. We will also have a staged area setup for families to take pictures if you would like to do so. We look forward to celebrating with you, if you have any questions you can reach us at info@lifewaterchurch.com.

Our Story

Our Story

The story behind the start of Lifewater Church began in the hearts of Matt and Barbin Lewis as they dreamed about helping people grow in their relationship with the Lord. After a season of prayer and discernment in the summer of 2011, the Lewis family began the journey of planting Lifewater Church in Bossier City.

From the beginning, God assembled a great team and by September 2011, the Lifewater Core Team was over 30 people strong. In the early days the team met in Matt and Barbin’s living room but quickly outgrew their house. Through the generosity of Pastor Denny Duron, God opened the door for Lifewater to meet at North Point Community Church and the team continued to grow.

For a year, the Lifewater Core Team met weekly for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship with the goal of learning how to be a church that reaches the lost and thirsty with the “good news” of Jesus so that they might grow into fully devoted followers of Christ. The Lord worked in a mighty way, renewing their hearts and creating a strong passion for those who are far from God.

After much prayer and preparation, Lifewater Church began having public worship gatherings on September 9, 2012. That Sunday over 300 people attended Lifewater’s first service at W.T. Lewis Elementary School.

It has been an amazing journey so far!  We have been blown away by God's faithfulness and challenged by His persistence in transforming our lives.  It hasn't always been easy or fun, but it is always rewarding to experience the power of the Gospel to change lives - especially ours!

As we continue to pursue God's heart for our city, we are more convinced than ever that God has great plans for Lifewater Church. By God’s grace, our family continues to grow, and lives are being transformed by the “Good News” of the Gospel.

We pray you will come and see for yourself what God is up to – you might just decide to become a part of the story!
